Alex the Great

I think the debate is officially over now. Alex Ovechkin is the best player in hockey, hands down. And by best I mean most talented, best scorer, most entertaining, best face of a franchise, means more to his team than anyone else BEST. Just look at the goal he had last night against the Montreal Canadiens. A spinning self-pass of the boards, sprinting ahead of the defender who then trips him, and Ovie still pushes the puck into the goal from his back. Simply beautiful. And this isn't the first time. These outstanding goals are now commonplace for Ovie. Face it Crosby fans- Alex Ovechkin has lapped Sid the Kid.
