JFLANland 2026 NFL Mock Draft

Hello, friends!  It is great to be back with another 7-round Mock Draft.  I do this mainly for my own entertainment and mental acuity, but I love sharing it with anyone that cares to read along.  This is a very strange Draft, and could see a ton of movement on all three days.  That said, we know the rule by now- I do not project any trades.  So, if I get the player at the correct pick number, or to the correct team, I consider that a win.  This mock is a combination of team needs vs what I think could happen.  I can’t wait to see what happens starting Thursday night.

All that said, we are ready to go!  And so, with the first pick of the 2026 JFLANland NFL Mock Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders select…

Round 1

1.      Las Vegas Raiders- Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Well, this is the easiest call of the Draft. Not much to say about it. It is the Raiders’ biggest need.  The great part? They signed Kirk Cousins, so Mendoza doesn’t have to start right away.

2.      New York Jets- David Bailey, EDGE, Texas Tech

The Draft beings at #2. While Arvell Reese may have the higher upside, David Bailey is more of a sure thing.  He produced at Stanford, and took it to another level at Texas Tech. He is polished, pro-ready, and can help the Jets on Day 1.

3.      Arizona Cardinals- Francis Mauigoa, OT, Miami

The Cardinals may be building a solid-to-good team a year before they get their new franchise QB. By getting a true mauler in Mauigoa to pair with Paris Johnson at tackle.  At worst, he can become a Pro Bowl-level guard.

4.      Tennessee Titans- Arvell Reese, LB/EDGE, Ohio State

He could be Micah Parsons.  That is what you are selling for a tweener/hybrid defender. He could be a pass rusher, he could be an off-ball LB.  Either way, he is a fantastic defender, and has been in the Top 5 discussion all year. The Titans get a star on defense, and will use the rest of the Draft to build around Cam Ward.

5.      New York Giants-  Sonny Styles, LB, Ohio State

The Giants could go a lot of ways. They could bring in an offensive weapon to build around Jaxson Dart. They could rebuild on the offensive line.  They could add to the secondary.  In the end, I think they go with the biggest riser of the entire draft process in Sonny Styles.  His Combine was legendary, and he could be a better defender than Reese already. He has the speed to spy Jayden Daniels or Jalen Hurts. Plug and play, he should be a star on an already-stacked defense.

6.      Cleveland Browns- Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State

The best offensive Buckeye off the board to a team that desperately needs weapons. Whoever is the QB for the Browns, they will have an ultra-dependable target to throw to.  He may not have the highlight reel catches like some others, but he doesn’t drop the ball, is a fantastic route runner, and will do what it takes to get open and make plays.

7.      Washington Commanders- Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame

I am a huge Jeremiyah Love fan. I see the fit in DC next to Jayden Daniels. The Commanders added a ton in the offseason on the defense, and brought in Rachaad White and Jerome Ford to fill out the RB room. Is WR a bigger need? Yes. But Love could be the best player in the Draft, so to get him at 7 would be a steal.  Also, if he is gone, I’d look to Caleb Downs or to trade down and get more picks.

8.      New Orleans Saints- Rueben Bain Jr, EDGE, Miami

Are his arms short? Yes. Did he have an off the field incident that has now been brought to light? Yes. Does this matter for the Saints?  I don’t think so.  The production in college was so good, and Bain is such a powerful player with a constant motor, that the fans will fall in love with his effort. He can play DE or kick inside and have him bully guards.

9.      Kansas City Chiefs- Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU

The Chiefs lost both of their starting cornerbacks to the Rams this offseason.  They need to replace them, and Delane is the best available. He was great at Virginia Tech, and even better on LSU. The Chiefs may not be able to rely on a fully-healthy Patrick Mahomes this season, so the defense needs to be able to keep them in games.

10. New York Giants (via CIN)- Caleb Downs, S, Ohio State

I am a big Caleb Downs fan. I wouldn’t mind him on the Commanders. So, if he is still on the board at 10 for the Giants after they traded Dexter Lawrence to the Bengals, I think they should be sprinting the card up to the podium. He is one of the best tacklers in the Draft, and has excellent ball skills that a safety needs. He can immediately become a captain of a defense that just gets even stronger than it already was. If they don’t go with Downs, I could see the Giants grabbing a WR here.

11. Miami Dolphins- Makai Lemon, WR, USC

Well, the Dolphins need everything, and that includes WR. After trading Jaylen Waddle, WR is such a glaring need that they have to take one here just so Malik Willis has people to pass to.  Lemon is a tough runner, can break a ton of tackles, and also has great hands.  He will start immediately for Miami.

12. Dallas Cowboys- Jermond McCoy, CB, Tennessee

The Cowboys need all they can to improve a historically bad defense. McCoy was phenomenal in 2024, but then tore his ACL in the playoffs. There were concerns after missing the entire 2025 season, but then he ran 4.38 at his Pro Day, so the Cowboys will be convinced that he is ready to go.

13. Los Angeles Rams (via ATL)- Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State

The Rams had a fantastic season behind MVP Matthew Stafford. The offseason, however, has been less than ideal.  With Davante Adams on the last year of his contract, and Puka Nakua in rehab, who knows what the Rams’ WR corp looks like in 2 years.  Here, they get Tyson, arguably the biggest big-play threat in the Draft, who has some slight injury concerns. Still at, 13, getting the potential #1 WR is worth the risk.

14. Baltimore Ravens- Olaivavega Ioane, G, Penn State

This isn’t the sexiest pick, but it is certainly a huge need for the Ravens.  I am not sure if Lamar Jackson was playing hurt, or if he is just gunshy to run after years of bad line play, but he wasn’t himself last year, and it showed in the team’s record, costing John Harbaugh his job. With Ioane, they get an immediate starter inside at guard, that should help protect Lamar, and help Derrick Henry continue his rise up the all-time rushing list.

15. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Akheem Mesidor, EDGE, Miami

The only knock against Mesidor is that he is already 25. That said, I think the Buccaneers are fully in win-now mode, especially with a coaching staff that may be on the hot seat. Mesidor is a true disruptor, who had 12.5 sacks and 17.5 tackles for loss last year opposite Bain. He is another immediate starter for a team that couldn’t stop anyone in a rather weak division last season.

16. New York Jets (via IND)- Omar Cooper Jr., WR, Indiana

Cooper is one of my favorite players in the Draft, so it pains me to mock him to the Jets. Still, the team should have improved QB play with Geno Smith, and he can team with Garret Wilson and AD Mitchell to create a solid young WR room. Hopefully, whoever the Jets QB is in 2027 will be able to use Cooper to his full potential like Indiana did.

17. Detroit Lions- Spencer Fano, OT, Utah

The Lions’ biggest need this year is help on the offensive line.  If the plan is to move Penei Sewell over to LT, then Spencer Fano is the best RT prospect available. He has great technique in pass protection and the run game. There are concerns about his arm length, which could eventually put him at guard, where he would be a Pro Bowler, but they should try him at RT first.

18. Minnesota Vikings- Dillon Thieneman, S, Oregon

Every mock has this. It just makes too much sense. Harrison Smith has retired, and an immediate successor is staring you in the face. Is it predictable? Sure. But don’t mess with a good thing. Thieneman can play everywhere, from the box to deep to slot, and can stop the run. He is perfect for the Vikings.

19. Carolina Panthers- Monroe Freeling, OT, Georgia

While the Panthers added Rasheed Walker as a fill-in at LT for the injured Ikem Ekwonu, I think Freeling is too good to pass up here. A true LT prospect and fast riser, he brings depth to valuable position, and can be used at RT if needed. The Panthers need to keep Bryce Young upright so they can tell what they have in him.

20. Dallas Cowboys (via GB)- Keldric Faulk, Edge, Auburn

A double-dip on defense in the first round for Dallas. Faulk has desired size and strength, and is already great against the run. He can come in under Dallas’ new defensive coaching staff, and learn how to rush the passer even better.  A bit of a project, but the value is good at 20.

21. Pittsburgh Steelers- Kadyn Proctor, OT, Alabama

Proctor is humungous. 6’7, 352 lbs officially.  He can slide inside guard to start and protect whoever is the Steelers’ QB, probably Rodgers. He can also swing out to tackle, where he played well at Alabama.  He is a far better run-blocker than pass-blocker, but that may be down to effort.  If a great coaching staff can get him to play hard every down, he could be a steal this late.

22. Los Angeles Chargers- Kayden McDonald, DT, Ohio State

While edge rusher would be the ideal, there may not be the best fit for who is available. LA needs help on the interior, too, and McDonald is an excellent run-stopper and disruptor inside. He had 9.5 tackles for loss as a DT last year, and a 7.8% run stop rate. The Chargers wait until 55 to get their DE.

23. Philadelphia Eagles- Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon

Every year, we leave the Draft wondering “How the hell did the Eagles get this guy?!” This would continue the trend, because Sadiq could end up being the best pass-catcher in the Draft. He is a willing blocker, too, so he can help in the run game.  Plus, who knows if the Eagles will need an additional receiving threat starting around, say, June 1st?

24. Cleveland Browns (via JAX)- Blake Miller, OT, Clemson

The Browns added their new #1 WR at 6. Now they need to build up the OL.  Miller can play both tackle positions, is steady, consistent, and can start right away.  He may not have the ceiling of some other tackle prospects, but he has a higher floor, and the Browns need a sure thing.

25. Chicago Bears- Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, S, Toledo

Here is one of my favorite players in the entire class. McNeil-Warren is a big, thumping safety with excellent play-making ability. He screams old school Bears to me, and would fit a big need. Paired with FA addition Cobe Bryant, they would be a great young safety tandem.

26. Buffalo Bills- Denzel Boston, WR, Washington

I am a guy who likes big WRs who never drop the ball.  Based on the performance of some of Buffalo’s WRs, that is something they should like to.  That is exactly what Denzel Boston does. He is 6’4, 212, and always comes down with the ball.  He would be an excellent addition to a receiver room that finally needs to step up for Josh Allen.

27. San Francisco 49ers- KC Concepcion, WR, Texas A&M

Who, exactly, are the young WRs in San Francisco these days?  Aiyuk will almost certainly be cut. Mike Evans is towards the end of his career. Christian Kirk is fine, but isn’t a game breaker. Ricky Pearsall can’t stay healthy. KC Concepcion gives the 49ers a dynamic playmaker in the slot and in the return game, and can grow into a bigger role as the older receivers drop off.

28. Houston Texans- Peter Woods, DT, Clemson

The Texans defense is their calling card.  They may have done enough this offseason to piece together a decent OL, so that can wait. They take Peter Woods, who provides depth at both defensive tackle and edge if needed. His versatility and explosiveness will fit in perfectly with the Texans culture.

29. Kansas City Chiefs (via LAR)- Caleb Lomu, OT/G, Utah

KC could double up on CBs here, or they could take a WR if any of the top guys fall to them.  Instead, they add a versatile lineman in Lomu, who will help protect Mahomes as he comes back from injury. Another candidate to potentially kick inside as he adjusts to the NFL, Lomu projects as a starting left tackle in a couple of years.

30. Miami Dolphins (via DEN)- Avieon Terrell, CB, Clemson

Again, the Dolphins need everything, and that includes CB.  Terrell has aggravated a hamstring injury at a private workout for teams, but his play on the field is worthy of this pick. He is an intense tackler, had nine pass breakups last year, and even forced eight career fumbles. That is the type of player that the Dolphins should want to add.

31. New England Patriots- Zion Young, DE, Missouri

The Pats could go O-Line, but they lost some pieces on the edge this offseason, and they need more depth. Zion Young is a bit of a raw prospect, but Mike Vrabel will love molding him into an impact defender.

32. Seattle Seahawks- Colton Hood, CB, Tennessee

As a team that won the Super Bowl should expect, the Seahawks lost a ton of players, including in the secondary. Hood is a press-man corner, had 10 pass breakups last year, and showed out at the Senior Bowl. He is a no-brainer pick at this point.

Round 2

33. New York Jets- Chris Johnson, CB, San Diego State

34. Arizona Cardinals- Ty Simpson, QB, Alabama

The second QB goes here. I don’t mock trades, and could see a team trading back into the 1st to get Ty Simpson. In fact, I absolutely can see the Cardinals doing that.  Instead, he falls here, and the Cardinals have their QB of the future, but without the pressure to start him right away, or the pressure to not take one if you are in position to take, say, Arch Manning next year.

35. Tennessee Titans- Chase Bisontis, G, Texas A&M

36. Las Vegas Raiders- Max Iheanachor, OT, Arizona State

Iheanachor has only been playing football for 5 years, and could be a 1st Round pick. Let him develop into a franchise tackle, and keep Mendoza upright. The weapon will come next round.

37. New York Giants- Caleb Banks, DT, Florida

If it wasn’t for an injury that caused him to miss time this season, as well as another right before the Combine, Banks would be a Day 1 pick. As it is, he falls to the Giants, who can immediately use him as a replacement for Dexter Lawrence.

38. Houston Texans (via WSH)- Emmanuel Pregnon, G, Oregon

39. Cleveland Browns- T.J. Parker, Edge, Clemson

40. Kansas City Chiefs- Gabe Jacas, Edge, Illinois

41. Cincinnati Bengals- CJ Allen, LB, Georgia

42. New Orleans Saints- D'Angelo Ponds, CB, Indiana

43. Miami Dolphins- Cashius Howell, Edge, Texas A&M

44. New York Jets (via DAL)- Jacob Rodriguez, LB, Texas Tech

45. Baltimore Ravens- Malachi Fields, WR, Notre Dame

This might be a controversial pick, but the Ravens need a big WR opposite Zay Flowers, and Fields is that. Plus, he can go up and get the passes Lamar was sailing over everyone’s heads last year.

46. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Brandon Cisse, CB, South Carolina

47. Indianapolis Colts- Malachi Lawrence, Edge, UCF

The first pick of the Draft for the Colts, Lawrence can develop opposite Laiatu Latu to bring explosive rush off the edge.

48. Atlanta Falcons- Germie Bernard, WR, Alabama

If Lawrence hadn’t just been taken, he may be the pick here, since James Pierce (the reason the Falcons don’t have a 1st round pick) may be in jail next year and not on the field. Instead, a reliable target opposite Drake London is the pick.

49. Minnesota Vikings- Lee Hunter, DT, Texas Tech

50. Detroit Lions- R Mason Thomas, Edge, Oklahoma

51. Carolina Panthers- Keionte Scott, CB/S, Miami (Fla.)

52. Green Bay Packers- Christen Miller, DT, Georgia

Even with Micah Parsons’ injury, the Packers are happy they traded their 1st round pick for him. They add some additional help on the defensive line with Miller, a run-stuffer who should help them stop the excellent Lions and Bears running games in their division.

53. Pittsburgh Steelers- Jake Golday, LB, Cincinnati

54. Philadelphia Eagles- Derrick Moore, Edge, Michigan

55. Los Angeles Chargers- Keylan Rutledge, G, Georgia Tech

56. Jacksonville Jaguars- Anthony Hill Jr., LB, Texas

The Jags had a great year, even with Travis Hunter getting hurt and not being a factor. If he comes back healthy and concentrates on one side of the ball (it sounds like CB), then they still have a guy worth the picks they sacrificed to get him. In the meantime, they replace Pro Bowler Devin Lloyd with the best LB available in Hill. Hill has fantastic speed for a LB, and can both blitz and cover better than most. He should be an every-down player.

57. Chicago Bears- Gennings Dunker, OT/G, Iowa

58. San Francisco 49ers- Caleb Tiernan, OT, Northwestern

59. Houston Texans- Jadarian Price, RB, Notre Dame

60. Chicago Bears (via BUF)- Gracen Halton, DT, Oklahoma

61. Los Angeles Rams- Josiah Trotter, LB, Missouri

62. Denver Broncos- Eli Stowers, TE, Vanderbilt

The Broncos traded their 1st round pick for Jaylen Waddle, and add their”Joker” mismatch nightmare player in Stowers. He is a phenomenal offensive weapon, but needs to learn to block a bit more if he ever wants to play in-line and help in the run game. The  Broncos could have an offense as good as their defense was if they pull this off.

63. New England Patriots- Zachariah Branch, WR, Georgia

64. Seattle Seahawks- A.J. Haulcy, S, LSU

Round 3

65. Arizona Cardinals- Keyron Crawford, Edge, Auburn

66. Tennessee Titans- Antonio Williams, WR, Clemson

67. Las Vegas Raiders- Elijah Sarratt, WR, Indiana

The best way to help a young QB? Get him one of his favorite college targets. The trust and success is already there!

68. Philadelphia Eagles (via NYJ)- Treydan Stukes, S, Arizona

69. Houston Texans (via NYG)- Dani Dennis-Sutton, Edge, Penn State

70. Cleveland Browns- Davison Igbinosun, CB, Ohio State

71. Washington Commanders- Chris Brazzell II, WR, Tennessee

72. Cincinnati Bengals- Jaishawn Barham, Edge, Michigan

73. New Orleans Saints- Chris Bell, WR, Louisville

74. Kansas City Chiefs- Ted Hurst, WR, Georgia State

75. Miami Dolphins- Jalen Farmer, G, Kentucky

76. Pittsburgh Steelers (via DAL)- Deion Burks, WR, Oklahoma

77. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Domonique Orange, DT, Iowa State

78. Indianapolis Colts- Kyle Louis, LB/S, Pittsburgh

147. Washington Commanders- Matt Gulbin, C, Michigan State

148. Kansas City Chiefs- Joe Royer, TE, Cincinnati

Bringing in a TE from Travis Kelce’s alma mater (who broke all of his records, as well) to learn from him in the twilight of his career? It’s a love story. Andy, just say Yes.

And there it is!  Thank you so much for reading.  As I say every year, I really do this for me, but appreciate anyone else that enjoys it.  I’d like to both thank and apologize to my cat, who has been very patient while I do this instead of giving her all of my attention.

Who do you want your team to take?  Who will be the hidden jewel of Day 3?  I can’t wait to find out.  Enjoy the Draft, my friends!
