When March Madness Gets Boring

The UNC men, the UCONN women. They were supposed to win. They were the favorites all season. They both won by around 20 points. Yawn. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate good basketball. Both of these teams are more than deserving because they dominated the competition. But that isn't what makes March Madness fun. Its about the upsets, the buzzer beaters, the Cinderellas. These tournaments just felt stale. Then again, if it were my Orange winning it all, I would say it is the best tournament ever. At least now we know that the best game of the season was the Syracuse/UCONN 6 OT game in the Big East quarterfinals. There is always next year.
