The Beasts from the East

The Big East has lived up to the hype so far. Setting yet another NCAA Tournament record, the best conference in basketball has sent 5 teams into this year's Sweet 16- three #1 seeds, Pitt Louisville and UConn, and two #3 seeds, Villanova and Syracuse. Simply amazing. It has left the other conferences in the dust. While the ACC still has two very strong title contenders in Duke and UNC, the Big East now has proof that it has more depth. While I will hold out hope for an all-Big East Final 4 (as I have in my bracket), it may be too much to ask. But as it stands right now, the Big East has proven itself more than worthy of all of the praise.
